Thanks for watching. This is one of my favorite songs ever. I play single pedal so I had to improvise with my floor tom in a couple of places. It isn’t perfect, but I’m getting better. I may have to learn double pedal soon. More and more music I’m listening to uses it. This song has a great drum track. Especially the last minute. If you enjoy please like/share/comment/subscribe. It really motivates me. There wasn’t much available in terms of information about Alex Rodriguez. He is a great drummer though, not just speed his grooves are really nice too. If you aren’t familiar with me or my channel, I’ve been drumming since May 2010 so I’m still learning. I wish I would have started earlier, but I am working hard trying to make up for lost time. @xxlvl3fmxx Haha! It is small. Only a 20 inch kick. Someday when I upgrade I? will have a 24 or 22 inch kick.

This song takes me back a few years! Great playing dude, I’d love to hear you do? more songs from this album. The track sounds a little muffled, did you take song high end off of it?

Each time you make a new video, it’s my new favorite Fantastic playing my friend, and? I like what you improvised on the fills with a single bass pedal. How are you playing those fills at the exit of the chorus, is it RLRLRB? Very cool. And the part from 3:00 to the end – sweet mother of science, AWESOME!

@dicko2704 Thanks! Yeah I could have done a better job mixing the tracks, I lowered the volume of the highs and lows on the original track like in all my covers. However I could have added more volume from my overheads. It’s a delicate balance sometimes because the overheads with too much volume start to sound harsh….I’m still trying to learn. As for Saosin, I may do Voices in the future,? such a great groove.

@Biggestmutemathfan Thanks bro! In this track I should have used more volume from them, But there are two overheads and a room mic. A friend of mine actually did the drum recording and mixing then I mixed? the drum track with the song. Like I said, I could have done a better job lol.

@johnkew Thanks a million John. Your feedback is always greatly appreciated. If I’m thinking the same fill you’re talking about it starts a 16th note? before the 3 then all 32nd notes KKRLRLKKRLRLKKRLRL Then kick and crash on the one.

@NYTROOPA Don’t get me wrong, you’re doing a better job than I could! The drum mix sounded great, really? clear. I just noticed that the vocals on the track lost a little sharpness and clarity. Keep doing what you’re doing, and always try new things. I would LOVE to hear you do Voices!
